Clinical Biography

I am an intern and Master of Social Work student at Wilfrid Laurier University offering affordable counselling options at Better Minds Counselling. I bring over ten years of social services experience, including work with people navigating substance use, addiction, homelessness, and difficult life circumstances.

My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and easy-to-talk-in space where clients can feel heard without judgment. Many people arrive in counselling carrying stress, uncertainty, grief, shame, or the belief that they should already know how to handle what they are facing. I believe each person’s story deserves respect and careful attention.

In therapy, we explore what has shaped your experience, what strengths have helped you keep going, and what small practical steps can support change. Counselling does not need to be intimidating. It can be a steady place to make sense of life and begin moving toward something more manageable.

My Therapeutic Philosophy

My approach is empathetic, strength-based, relational, and collaborative. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help clients explore patterns, meaning, resilience, and next steps.

Clients can expect sessions that honour their pace and lived experience. We work together to understand what feels difficult, identify what already supports you, and build small meaningful steps toward the changes you want.
