Hear From Karen:
Reaching out for therapy isn't easy for most of us. Taking that first step can feel intimidating, vulnerable, or even a little overwhelming. Whether you've been thinking about therapy for years or found yourself here after a particularly difficult week, I'm genuinely glad you're here.
Do you ever feel like you feel so many emotions all at once? Or maybe you've gone the opposite direction and feel disconnected, numb, or like you're simply surviving instead of living. Most of us are searching for that peaceful middle ground - a place where we feel more balanced, more connected to ourselves, and more able to handle whatever life throws our way. Sometimes anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, identity issues, grief, or major life changes can pull us so far from that place that it's difficult to find our way back. You don't have to navigate that alone.
I work with adults, teens, and couples, and I warmly welcome people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship styles. My goal is to create a space where you don't have to filter yourself or worry about being judged, you get to show up exactly as you are. I believe therapy doesn't have to feel cold or overly clinical. There will be space for difficult conversations, but also for laughter, curiosity, and celebrating the small wins along the way. Some sessions might involve tears, while others might involve laughing at the wonderfully weird ways our brains try to protect us.
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to you. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Somatic Therapy, blending practical tools with curiosity and compassion. Together, we'll explore not only your thoughts, but also how your experiences have shaped you and how your body may be holding onto stress or trauma. Therapy isn't about fixing you. It's about helping you better understand yourself, reconnect with who you are, and create meaningful change that lasts.
If you're wondering whether we'd be a good fit, I'd love to meet you for a free consultation. There's no pressure and no commitment—just an opportunity to ask questions, tell me a little about what's bringing you to therapy, and see if working together feels right.
